Background
Shane's journey has been anything but ordinary. From personal encounters with the legal system to becoming a voice for reform, his story began long before the events that captured national attention on January 6, 2021.

At thirteen, Shane discovered he was adopted, which led him down a dark path. By fifteen, he was behind bars for gang-related activities. His release at nineteen was marred by further tragedy when his mother's abusive new husband attempted to kill him. In self-defense, Shane took a life, an event that left him grappling with guilt despite being acquitted. After three stints in prison and losing his mother, Shane hit rock bottom. Divorced and feeling utterly alone, he could no longer run from the one place he had always avoided - his faith. In 2016, Shane accepted Jesus Christ into his life. This moment was his rebirth; Christ relieved him of his guilt, called him 'Son', and gave him a new identity and purpose. Through his transformation, Shane learned that no worldly pleasure could fill the void in his heart—only God could. He now lives to share this message, emphasizing redemption, forgiveness, and the power of community.

On a day that would mark a new chapter in his advocacy, Shane found himself at the heart of the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021. His presence there was not as an instigator but as a concerned citizen seeking answers and transparency regarding the 2020 election and political processes that were unfolding. Shane faced legal challenges as a result of his involvement on that day. However, this experience did not deter him; it fueled his commitment to advocacy.

He founded 'The Real J6' from within the confines of the DC gulag to share firsthand accounts, challenge misinformation, and advocate for those whose voices are often drowned out by political agendas. Shortly thereafter, he founded 'Stand in the Gap', aiming to support those similarly accused and to push for judicial reform.

Shane's journey from the streets to the Capitol, from prison to pardon, is a testament to the power of second chances and the impact one transformed life can have. He continues to advocate, educate, and inspire, always with the aim of bringing people back to the heart of what matters - faith, family, and freedom.

Shane's Release
After 1,418 days, thanks to the grace of God and the courage of President Trump, Shane was released from federal prison on Monday January 20, 2025. The weight of those days lifted as he saw his kids' faces light up with joy, their arms wrapped around him, tears streaming down. That moment is what freedom feels like. He is home, where he belongs, with the ones who love him, because of the unwavering support from all of you who never stopped believing in the January 6th hostages. Your pressure, your voices, they made this possible. They are reunited, and it's because of you, because of him.
Thank you, America. Thank you, President Trump.
